An obsessive learner, entrepreneur, computer geek and nutrition coach, I recently moved from Arkansas to Washington State. I did so after losing everything as a result of a 3 year illness. My children are here and were able to help out, so that's the reason I chose Washington but I long to return to a dryer, warmer climate.

I've been studying the Law of Attraction for about two years now and since I've landed in Washington, many amazing small things have begun to happen to me that have really ingrained those teachings in my mind. I wish I had room here to tell you about all of them. They might even seem insignificant in and of themselves but when you put them all together and understand the frequency associated with them, it becomes clear that there is a much higher power than myself at work here and that I'm becoming much better at tapping into that power. We all have the ability to do this but it does take some focus and repetition to get good at it.

One of my favorite stories happened about 15 years ago before I really understood about the Law of Attraction. I've had faith in a higher power for many years but never in the conventional religious sense so I often talk to God. Here's the story:

I was living in Tampa, Florida (known as the lightning capital of the world). When it rains in Tampa, it doesn't drizzle, it comes down like a dam burst in the sky. One day I had just gotten dressed up to go out dancing. I walked to the screen door,looked out and it was absolutely pouring. I looked to the sky and said out loud "Please God, just long enough to get to the car." Instantly, the rain stopped and I walked out the door, around the front of my house and got in my car. And, just as instantly as it had stopped, the downpour started again. I had no idea I could do that!

These are the types of things that have been happening to me repeatedly over the last couple of months and I've gotten so I can just ask or "intend" for things to happen and they do. Sometimes I don't even have to consciously ask. Here's an example:

The other night I was out driving in the dark in an unknown area of town looking for a house. I had a Google map with me but was having a hard time reading it in the dark! When I came to a light, I checked and realized that I had gone about a half mile too far down the road according to the map. So, I continued on looking for the first street I could turn around on. I was going to turn left but at the last minute I turned right. There was no visible sign so I didn't know what street I'd turned on but the next street I saw was a familiar name from the Google directions and before I knew it I was in front of the house I'd been looking for. The Google map had been wrong about the distance to the street. What does this mean? Who needs GPS when you have God!

I try to keep a smile on my face, laugh at myself and not worry as much as I used to. I know that everything will work out as it should.
